My Grandma died on Thursday last week - she was 89. It's difficult to write about someone in past tense.
Nothing really prepares you for loosing a loved one. Although she hasn't been well for the past 3 years, I still remember my childhood with her.
I have really good memories from Safta. Her ever best made vegetable soup, her schnitzel and of course the red cabbage to go with my rice.
As Boaz mentioned on Friday last week. I remember picking the loquat and oranges in her garden.
She’s the only grandma that I knew. I miss her...
My grandma survived the Holocaust and Auschwitz in particular. She is survived by 2 children – 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
